As training camps started in the NFL, another major event occurred — the 2022 Madden ratings came out. The game will be released on August 20th.
Five players made the famous 99 Club this year, including cover athlete Patrick Mahomes, the highest-paid NFL player for 2021. He shares the cover with none other than Tom Brady.
The five players that have 99 ratings are:
- Quarterback Patrick Mahomes
- Defensive tackle Aaron Donald, the Best Defensive Player of the season in 2020
- Cornerback Jalen Ramsey
- Wide receiver Davante Adams
- Tight end Travis Kelce

There were a few surprises and raised eyebrows when the numbers were released.
One is the fact that Tom Brady, a holder of the most NFL rings, aged 44, is somehow above Aaron Rodgers. The others were DeAndre Hopkins and Derrick Henry’s exclusions from the 99 Club.
